LINEOX CONTINUES TO IMPROVE STABILITY

Lineox Update Services and Open Country's Complementary System
Management Solution Adds New Security and Bug Fix Updates Good Through
2009   

October 27, 2004 - With the goal of making Linux more affordable
and stable for enterprise customers, Lineox announced today that it
has added unified security and bug fix Update Services® that will
improve reliability and support for the majority of Linux customers
through 2009.  In addition, Lineox is teaming up with Open Country to
offer its customers access to its complementary system management
solution.      

"As of October 22, 2004, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 customers will
have to renew their subscription to continue to get security and bug
fix updates," said Raimo Koski, president and chief executive officer
for Lineox.  "Lineox customers, however, will have the benefit of
using Lineox Update Services - which are all most customers will
need.  By improving the reliability and security of Lineox and
utilizing system management from Open Country, our customers will reap
the benefits of affordable enterprise Linux."       

Through a joint marketing agreement, customers can utilize Lineox
Update Services for stable enterprise-class Linux and Open
Country's OC-Manager system management solution for new system
provisioning, software management, asset management, backup/restore,
remote administration and remote desktop sharing.     

With the latest release of OC-Manager, customers can deploy the most
recent security updates, patches and bug fixes effortlessly and
efficiently.  This cross-distribution integrated platform, which will
be qualified on Lineox Enterprise Linux in its next version, provides
customers with the ability to leverage Lineox Enterprise Linux 3.0 in
their organization with minimal disruption. Together, Lineox and Open
Country offer value-added features to the Red Hat Network at a
fraction of the cost.       

All Lineox Enterprise Linux versions are built from the sources made
available by Red Hat, Inc. Lineox has replaced some graphics files and
replaced trademarks in otherwise freely distributable program sources.
This makes Lineox Enterprise Linux highly compatible with
corresponding Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions.    

Lineox Update Services and Always Current releases now extend to
Lineox Enterprise Linux 2.1 and Lineox Enterprise Linux 3.0 for x86
and x86_64 (AMD Athlon64 and Opteron and Intel Xeon and Pentium IV
with EMT64 enhancements).

Availability and Pricing

For current Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0 customers, Lineox now offers
its Update Service license (up to the release of Lineox Enterprise
Linux version 4.0, expected spring 2005), starting from 10 Euros.
Lower volume pricing is available upon request.    

Annual Lineox Update Service starts at 15 Euros for all versions.
Version 3.0 updates are available free with 30 days delay and Version
2.1 with 60 days delay.   

Open Country's OC-Manager 2.0 software is priced at $100 per
system per year, a fraction of the cost of comparable enterprise-class
system management software, and supports all the leading Linux
distributions.
